It really is all about the art . . .

It is rare for me to post any sort of rant here, so the drama factor is pretty much non-existent. I made this blog just for my art, so it does have a purpose other than rambling on about whatever. This is my personal space, so please be courteous if you opt to register and post comments, etc. Any artwork I post belongs to me, is copyrighted to me, and there is a Digimarc digital ID embedded into a number of my newer images. I also have every single file for every image I ever made burned onto CD-ROM. Please do not take my art and claim it as your own works. If you are interested in using my art, make sure you review my Terms of Use.

For me, creating art is all about passion. It’s a way for me to breathe life into the visions in my head, without using words, despite how fond I am of the written word. I can be very verbose at times, and have been known to ramble on. My first blog was rather a wasted effort of creation and design, it really served no purpose for me other than a place to just ramble on. About whatever.
But with this blog, I can keep a written and visual record of my artwork for my own benefit. I can learn from my past mistakes here. I can go into more details about what and why. So this blog serves a clear, well defined purpose for me, as opposed to a place to just ramble about whatever comes to mind.

Do not expect to find any great anecdotes of wisdom here. Well, maybe now and again. Perhaps a dash of humor when the occasion warrants it; we should laugh at ourselves, lest we take ourselves far too seriously. Once in a while I might explode into a ranting, flurry of words because someone enraged me to the point I must vent. Yes, I have a wicked, terrible temper.

But this is more than just a blog. I can post new art here and speak my mind freely, which I think is important. It’s a personal space for me to keep a written record of my ideas - future images I have yet to make will be private posts - as well as the ideas and the inspiration behind my personal, favorite images - that part I’m still working on. This space is not something I really care to advertise on the net, I prefer Google cannot find it, nor any other search engine for that matter. At least not so easily. And yet, I hope to share these pages with other folks of mutual interests, so a web ring or 6 might pop up.

If you find your way here, feel free to register and say hello, I do not bite. Not hard anyway. But please treat this little space of mine as you would your own, I would be greatly appreciative of that courtesy. If art is your passion as well, I would love to see your little place on the web.

I think, that in a way, we all inspire each other, as well as draw inspiration from the things we can see, and the things we perceive.
